Facebook ads can provide a great return on investment, but only if your business is ready for them.
Here’s a quick checklist of 5 things that will help you make the most out of your investment and avoid wasting your money:
1) You’re making sales organically
Facebook ads do an amazing job of bringing potential customers to you, but if your product/service doesn’t already sell then you’re wasting your money.
Unfortunately, Facebook ads aren’t a magic bullet. If there isn’t any interest in your product/service in the first place then people just won’t buy.
2) Your website already converts
The first thing you need to do is ensure you have the pixel installed so it’s gathering data.
As you’re likely to be driving people to your website, it’s important to make sure the user experience is as smooth as possible.
Is it fast loading, optimised for mobile and guide the user towards a purchase/lead effectively?
3) You have a process to target warm leads
How will you follow up any leads that come in and retarget warm leads? Will they be added to an email list or shown a different ad?
If you have a funnel mapped out already it makes it much easier to build a more effective campaign.
4) You know your audience well
One of the most powerful things about Facebook advertising is the granular level audience building.
It’s important that you’re crystal clear on who your audience is in terms of demographics, interests, locations etc. The more information you have, the more effective the targeting of your ads will be.
5) You’re already active on social media
Do you already have active and engaged social media profiles?
What’s the first thing you do if you’re interested in an ad? Click on the profile!
If you’re already producing good content that resonates with your ideal clients then you’ll have more chance of converting new leads.
There are obviously other things like making sure you allocate enough budget and time, but I thought I’d cover some things you might want to have in place first.
